The CT-200 Socket Polarity and Earth Leakage Tester is used for testing the correct wiring status and safety of standard socket outlets. It is a modern and durable piece of professional test equipment and is built to last. It should be an essential item in any electricians tool bag, but also is so easy to use that anyone can use it to quickly and accurately test the safety of either a new installed mains socket, or check the safaty of an existing one. In addition this tester also has a unique soft touch button which when pressed will test that an RCD in the circuit trips within 300ms when a nominal 30mA earth fault current is applied. A further button  also detects raised earth voltages above 50VAC, and will identify any dangerous installations in seconds and without any exposure to live mains voltage.
