Nikon Flashes Keep Getting Better & More Costly

Good flash, but may not be worth an upgrade from a sb-800
  • PROS
  • Battery life seems to be improved, better control interface, same SB-800 quality.
  • CONS
  • Larger than the SB-800, uses different color filters than the SB-800.
  • The Bottom Line
  • If you have a SB-800, you may not want to upgrade. But if you have disposable funds or no flash at all, the SB-900 is a great choice.
