Their tasting notes: Made from fruit harvested late in March 2010, from Block 5 of our estate. The resulting wine is pale gold in colour, with aromas of lemon and lime, and a hint of apricot jam and golden syrup. On the palate, rich flavours of citrus blossom, candied citrus peel and honeysuckle abound. The wine finishes with a delicate balance of late harvest characters, sweetness and citrus acidity.So, what is botrytis? Botrytis cinerea, also known as noble rot, is usually an unwelcome fungus, unless you want to make sweet wines - then it's a blessing!
